Fun Shower Games With A Twist
There are many cute and clever bridal shower games that have been staples for years, but they are really some of the most fun and almost totally free! There may be a few supplies to pick up, depending on how elaborate your version is, but at least the ideas are free!
Pin the Bouquet on the Bride
This is such a cute idea! Taking cues from the classic and ever popular Pin the Tail on the Donkey birthday party game, this version is wonderfully fun and can be expanded to include an arts and crafts session!
Pin the Bouquet on the Bride is definitely one of my favorites and, aside from a few craft supplies, a great free bridal shower game! In this game, your guests will decorate their own bouquet using colored paper, bits of fabric, silk flowers, ribbon - practically any of your leftover craft supplies.
In preparation, have a photo of the bride printed and mounted to foam core board. This increases the stability and allows for easy "pinning" later.
Place a bucket or decorated box of craft supplies and tape on each table. You can also add an element competition and host awards for "Most Creative Bouquet", "Most Beautiful Bouquet" and/or "Most Likely To Fall Apart" before the pinning begins. If you anticipate elaborate creations, you can set up a table with several glue guns for the more crafty guests to share.
Give your guests about 15 minutes to create their bouquets. If you are hosting the friendly competition, announce the categories and have the bride awards honors. Then, each guest is blindfolded and attempts to secure their bouquet to a picture of the bride using either tape or a quilting pin. The guest who pins their bouquet closest to the bride is the winner!
