Radish and Butter Sandwich
This is one of my favorite appetizers - while it is extremely simplistic in ingredients, the flavors when eaten together are fantastic. The radish and butter sandwich is a wonderful selection for a bridal shower.
12 small radishes
4 slices of dark bread
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
sea salt
Wash and peel the radishes. Place into a dish with ice and refrigerate for at least one hour. Just before serving, slice the radishes into paper thin rounds.
Spread butter evenly over one side of the bread. Arrange radish slices across 2 slices of bread. Sprinkle with salt and cover with another slice of buttered bread. Trim edges and cut diagonally into four pieces.
