Preparation
Print and make copies of the MARRY bingo cards and insert them into the shower invitations. The cards should be filled out by the guests before they arrive at the shower.

If you’ve just found this fun shower game, and your invitations have been mailed out, just pass out the bingo cards as guests arrive and have them fill it out before the gift opening starts.

How To Play
As guests arrive, remind them to be ready with their MARRY bingo cards for the Shower Gift Bingo game you’ll be playing. That way, if they forgot to bring their card, you can have a few extra on hand for them to fill out quickly.

As the bride gets ready to open her gifts, remind guests to play attention, and check their card against the opened gifts for a match. If they have a match, cross off or cover the square. If a guest has 5 in a row, they yell “MARRY”, instead of “BINGO”!

The Winner
The first person to make a line vertically, horizontally or diagonally by covering off the squares that match the gifts being opened, wins!

Note, this shower game is hard to play at smaller showers, because there are less gifts given and the odds of someone getting BINGO are not very good.

Preparation
Complete the answer sheet when the bride arrives at the shower.

How To Play
The bride casually leaves the room when you’re ready to play this game. Pass out the worksheet, and give guest 2 - 5 minutes to write down as many answers as they can remember.

Now, have the bride re-enter the room. Read the questions and answers from your answer key, to the guests.

The Winner
The guest who remembered the most details about the bride is the winner, and is awarded a prize!

There are three copies of the worksheet on this printable PDF. Estimate the number of guests, and divide by 3 to get the number of copies you’ll need. For example, if you’re expecting 28 guests, print 10 copies of this worksheet. That will give you enough to pass out to all of the shower guests, and one to use as the answer key.

English Garden Tea Party

Host the most lovely garden party of the season, and treat your bride to an impeccable English Garden Tea Party themed bridal shower. Complete with delicate finger sandwiches and an assortment of fragrant teas, guests will enjoy sampling classics like cucumber sandwiches, biscuits and Earl Grey, along with a few delectable surprises for your guests to enjoy.

Find a local bakery to prepare delicious cream cakes, scones, cookies and tiny muffins. Consider bringing in an etiquette expert to explain the traditions of participating in a high tea, and dispel the notion of pinking lifting once and for all!

Another memorable touch to make your bridal shower unique is to host the shower outdoors, as an extravagant garden picnic. Borrow several croquet or badminton sets, and plan to play a mini tournament or as teams. Challenge your guests to speak with a British accent, and capture the moments on camera. We’ve seen some amazingly fun movies that are created from all of the events leading up to the bride’s special day, and played in an entertainment center during the reception.

Send guests home with a collection of specialty teas and quality chocolates tucked into a beautiful teacup. Mismatched teacups are easy to find at resale and antique shops at a very reasonable cost, and look so pretty displayed on a round table, dressed in English Garden inspired linens at the party.

If the bride is a tea enthusiast, she most likely has a tea set, china, a teapot or other accoutrements on her registry. A wonderful gift to present to her at the English Garden tea party bridal shower would be her entire tea or china set, as a gift from the entire group of guests.

Feeling that a traditional Tea Party may be a little too refined for the bridal shower you’re planning? Kick it up a notch and inject some lightheartedness into the concept by hosting a Mad Hatter Tea Party!

Mad Hatter Tea Party

Send out invitations instructing guests of the festive affair, and ask them to dress up, dress flamboyantly, wear crazy hats – the more fantastically over-the-top, the better for this event! Be certain to include a note on the invitation saying “Please wear your maddest hat”. Have a few extras on hand, in case a guest forgets to bring one.

The Mad Hatter Tea Party bridal shower is absolutely unconventional in nature, so don’t anticipate spending a lot of time having guests participate in “normal” bridal shower games. To start, everyone must remember to change seats every half hour.

One of the favorite parts of a Mad Hatter Tea Party themed shower is the Hat Parade and Contest. Once everyone arrives, the guests parade around in their celebratory attire, and showcase the crazy hats they have found or made especially for the party. Prizes are given for a few categories, like Most Impossible To Balance, and Makes You The Tallest When Worn. Obviously, feel free to make up appropriate categories that best fit your event.

An easy game for the Mad Hatter Tea Party is “Who Is The Queen Of Hearts”. Place a shuffled deck of cards into a hat. Ask each guest to draw one card, until a guest draws the Queen of Hearts. A beautiful red rose goes to the winner!

If your Mad Hatter bridal shower party is outdoors, think about how fun it would be to have a Teacup or Teaspoon Relay Race! Yes, it sounds a little juvenile at first, but that’s exactly what a Mat Hatter Tea Party is supposed to be! Divide guests into teams of two, or more. Each participant must transport a teacup full to the brim with water from one end of the course and back without spilling a drop! If you have a lot of guests attending the shower, consider having the teams go back and forth, cycling through several team members. The team with the most amount of water remaining at the end of the allotted time wins! For a Teaspoon Relay, have guests balance raw eggs or jellybeans on a teaspoon as they run through the course.

Other fun “Through The Looking Glass” inspired touches could include cupcakes, with EAT ME written across the top. Tie tags that say DRINK ME around glasses or tied to tea cups. With a little extra time and crafting skills, the perfect flamingo croquet set would definitely become the stuff of bridal shower legends.

For centerpieces, try using Styrofoam plates and dowels to create what looks like towering stacks of balancing plates. Decorate with a huge assortment of teapots and tea cups – as mentioned earlier for the English garden party tea party, discount stores (like Marshalls/TJMaxx), resale shops, yard sales and antique centers are great resources to find inexpensive, mismatched china for decorating and favors.

Not only is the Prize Auction a super fun way to end your party, it’s also very easy to prepare and all of your guests will love it! At the end of the party, you’ll be auctioning off prizes to the highest bidder.

To play this game, you’ll need play money, blank envelopes, gift bags or wrapping paper and inexpensive prizes.

Put the play money in envelopes, with one bill per envelope - they can be different dollar amounts in the envelopes. While you’re playing games, the top five winners will choose a random envelope with the play money inside.

At the end of the party, give every guest an envelope with a random amount of money inside. Now it’s time to start the auction! Hold off a prize and start the bidding! Every prize is wrapped, so none of the guests really knows what they’re bidding on - and therein lies the fun!

The person with the highest bid opens the bad and sees what they have won! Make the game even more interesting by mixing in some good prizes, some practical jokes and some gag gifts. Enjoy the laughter!

The key to making this game fun is keeping it a secret from your guests! About twenty minutes into the bridal shower, ask the bride-to-be to leave the room. Then pass around a piece of paper and pencils to everyone and have each guest write down everything they can possibly remember about what she was wearing, with as much details as possible. The more detail the guest can provide, the better!

Give the guests about 5 minutes and then have everyone put their pencils down. Have the guests pass their sheets two people to the right. Bring the bride back in and begin counting out things about the bride - earrings, clothing, shoes, so they can be counted from the lists. The guest that has described the most things about the bride wins!

The basic version of Catch The Bridal Bouquet is very simple to make with supplies you already have on hand. With a little planning and money, you can also create a very pretty version that everyone will remember as a unique party game at your bridal shower.

Catch The Bridal Bouquet is a great way to get your guests out of their chairs and have fun together! The object of the game is to hit a bouquet of flowers with a dart. The guest that gets the most points wins!

You will need a dart board or piece of cork board, darts and flowers. The flowers could be anything from a magazine picture of flowers, to paper flowers. The most pretty version of this game that I’ve done has used silk flowers stapled thru their centers to cork board.

Dress up the darts with ribbons, stickers and rhinestones!

To score the game, each guest that hits the target can get a small prize. To make it a little more interesting, use different colors of flowers on the target, and assign points to the various colors. Track the scores of your guests on a flip chart and watch the fun competition begin!

The guest with the most points wins and/or gets married next!

Yes, confusing and awfully suspicious - but resist explaining what it’s for!

When your guests ask why they are tearing off sheets of toilet paper, make sure you have a cute answer for them, like “We’re super short tonight and just want to make sure everyone has some before we run out!”

Towards the middle of the bridal shower, announce that you need to borrow some toilet paper - and name one of the bride’s body measurements - bust, waist, height! The guest with the closest length of tissue wins!

Start with two stacks of cards and distribute one of each to each guest. The key to the activity is one stack has sexy and romantic words, the other stack has totally unrelated and everyday words. Your guests can each compose a love poem based on the cards they receive or work together on teams to come up with the best original love song!

Prep Work
You’ll need enough index cards for each guest to have two. Divide the cards into two equal stacks and get ready to write!

Write one sexy or romantic word on every index card in stack one. Things like lips, kiss, love, passionate, lust, throbbing, romantic, chocolate, lick, roses, etc. Go as risque or as safe as you think your guests will be comfortable with!

On the remaining stack of cards, write normal, everyday words like mug, washcloth, fan, bikini, newspaper - anything!

Keep the two pile separate and put them safely away for the bridal shower.

How To Play
At the bridal shower, each guest selects one card from each pile and uses them to write a silly poem about love if they are working alone. Or have guests work in teams and use their cards to make a crazy love song!

Everyone reads their poem outloud or performs their song ala karaoke.

The hostess of the bridal shower gets together with the groom and has him answer a list of about 15 questions that are about himself, or the couple. This is a game for both the bride and the guests, so make sure the bride doesn’t find out the questions ahead of time!

Write the questions on 3×5 cards, with the groom’s answers on the back. If you’re using our suggested list of questions for the groom, you can print the sheets for the guests here.

At the party, give each guest a copy of the questions you asked the groom (free printable sheets here). Have your guests guess how many answers they think the bride will get correct! Collect the sheets when you’re ready to play the All About The Groom bridal shower game. Separate the sheets based on the number of questions the guests think the bride will correctly answer.

Now it’s time for the bride to play! Read the questions to the group and have the bride answer. To get the answer right, the bride has to match what the groom has answered - even if he was incorrect!

The bride eats a chocolate kiss for every correct answer she gives. If she is incorrect, she gets a piece of gum, which she much chew. At the end, the guests who have come closest to guessing the number of correct answers the bride will get a small gift.

Start collecting enough tulle, ribbons, thread, flowers, sequins and trinkets for the guests at the bridal shower. Put together pretty boxes on each table so guests can share the supplies. You’ll also want to provide thread or glue - if you have a pretty crafty group of friends, consider putting a small glue gun on every table.

Each guest will make their own veil for the bride, which will be voted on by the wedding party for most creative, most beautiful, most crafty, most crazy, most likely to fall apart, etc. The bride models each one as the wedding party judges the entries.

Have little prizes for the winners. This is really cute photo opportunity for the bridal shower and brings the guests into the action.
